Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify a body and reduce cost by moving slantwise a step member pivotally connected to a bearing surface plate bracket synchronously with the turning motion of a metal back plate via a step member support joint bar laid between the step member and the lower end of an inverted-U type reinforcement member fixed to the reverse side of the metal back plate.
CONSTITUTION: In an open leg condition, a back plate 2 is fixed with a reclining gas cylinder 9 and the lower side of the support member 3 of a bearing surface rear section comes in contact with a rear wheel support lever 17 for being supported thereon. In this case, the forward end of the lock plate 12-3 of a lock mechanism 12 is engaged to a stepped section 7-3 on the upper surface of the rear wheel support lever 17 to lock the open leg condition. When the back plate 2 is inclined backward in the open leg condition, an operation lever 9-3 is pulled up. As a result, the back plate 2 collapses about a shaft pin P1 as a support pint, and a step support joint lever 11 is pushed forward synchronously with the slantwise motion of the back plate 2. Consequently, a step member 10 turns up about a shaft pin P5 as a support point, and a foot rest seat member 10-5 is also inclined, depending on the slantwise motion of the plate 2.
