PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily register and update a dictionary for each section used by a character or voice recognition device.SOLUTION: A recognition dictionary registration device (section dictionary management server 10) for word registration based on a word extracted from a document read by an image reading device, comprises: association determination means 101 for determining whether a word indicating a section is included in the extracted word or whether the image reading device is associated with a section; frequency measurement means 102 for measuring frequency of appearance of the word when the association determination means determines that a section name is included in the extracted word or that the image reading device is associated with the section; and dictionary registration means 103 for registering the word in a recognition dictionary associated with the section on the basis of the frequency of appearance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
