CONSTITUTION: A monoclonal antibody such as FR5, which is a recombinant antibody specific for an extracellular domain of growth factor receptor c-erB-2 is obtained by including a heavy chain valuable domain of the formula [FR1 a polypeptide residue(PR) containing 25-33 natural amino acids(Ams); FR2 is a PR containing 12-16 Ams; FR3 is a PR containing 30-34 Ams; FR4 is a PR containing 6-13 Ams; CDR1H is a PR of fixed AM 32-36 sequences; CDR2H is fixed AM 51-67 sequences; CDR3H is fixed AM 100-109 sequences; amino acid Cys is in an oxidizing state to form S-S cross-linking] and a fixed light chain valuable domain of a polypeptide. A cell transformed with a DNA encoding the antibody is cultured to produce a desired polypeptide.
