Abstract:
To obtain a recombinant antithrombin which is highly safe because of reduced contamination with various infectious factors and is highly purified.
A recombinant antithrombin having purity of 99% or higher and high specific activity is prepared by purifying a recombinant antithrombin produced by culturing animal cells producible of an antithrombin transformed by using genetic recombination technology. It is desirable that the recombinant antithrombin, when made as a solution of 100-200 U/mL, has a host-derived protein content of 1 ng/mL or lower and a deoxyribonucleic acid content of 10 ng/mL or lower.
