Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a new DNA compound useful for producing a large amount of PNB esterase in a recombinant host cell.
CONSTITUTION: This isolated DNA compound comprises a DNA sequence encoding PNB esterase activity of Bacillus subtilis and codes for a protein having e.g. a sequence of the formula. The protein can be isolated from genome DNA of Bacillus subtilis.
