Abstract:
To reproduce data recorded in a recording medium, even if an error occurs, when finalizing processing is to be carried out for recordable recording medium.
This device is provided with a writing means, with which when a recording error occurs during finalizing carried out by writing UDF information and VMG information, the UDF information and the VMG information are written in the unrecorded area of a recording medium, and the address information with the UDF information and the VMG information written is written in a RMA area. Thus, even if recording error occurs during finalizing processing, mounting is carried out, by referring to the start address information of the UDF information and the VMG information in the RMA.
