To provide a recorder having a plurality of printing units which can correctly perform the print-positioning between the printing units, suppress flapping of paper sheets facing the printing units, and realize double print of excellent printing quality.

The printing units are disposed along he circumference of first and second carrying drums, and the second carrying drum is disposed so that a printed side by the first printing unit is wound around the second carrying drum. The paper sheet is wound around the first and second carrying drums. A paper sheet carriage unit and a skew correction unit are disposed on the upstream side of the paper sheet carrying direction of the first carrying drum, and a paper sheet puller unit is disposed on the downstream side in the paper sheet carrying direction of the second carrying drum to eliminate slackness of the paper sheet on the carrying drum. A position detection unit which determines the rotational position of the carrying drum and transmits the position signal to the printing unit is provided and the printing unit is recorded synchronous with the position signal.
