Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized recording device.SOLUTION: An ink jet printer 100 comprises a transporting means 106 for transporting a media M with the use of an endless transporting belt 102 wound on a plurality of rollers, an ink jet head 101 for performing recording in the media M on the transporting belt 102, and a washing unit 10 for washing the transporting belt 102. The cleaning unit 10 comprises a washing part 1 which is in contact with the transporting belt 102 along a width direction of the transporting belt 102 to wash the transporting belt 102 with a washing liquid, a washing liquid tank 5 in which at least a part of the washing part 1 exists and a washing liquid W is stored, and a moving mechanism 7 which supports the washing part 1 and the washing liquid tank 5 for moving between a contact position where the washing part 1 is in contact with the transporting belt 102 and a separation position where it separates from the transporting belt 102 in horizontal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
