Abstract:
A recording device (1) includes: a supporting stage (11) configured to support a recording medium; a recording unit (15) facing the recording medium; a Y-axis moving section (13) configured to move the recording unit in a Y-axis direction; and an upward/downward moving section (69) configured to move the recording unit in an X-axis direction such that the recording unit moves toward and away from the supporting stage. The upward/downward moving section includes an upward/downward drive mechanism (72) configured to move the recording unit toward and away from the supporting stage and two upward/downward guide mechanisms (71) configured to guide the movement of the Y-axis moving section in the Z-axis direction of the recording unit. The upward/downward drive mechanism and the two upward/downward guide mechanisms are arranged side by side in the Y-axis direction.
