To obtain a recorder in which a cascade display can be set easily by a method wherein a printing region in every channel is computed by a control circuit on the basis of a preset recording width and a preset shift width, a printing circuit is controlled and measured data is printed inside the printing region.
In a measuring circuit 1, measured waveforms in a plurality of channels are converted into a digital signal so as to be supplied to a control circuit 2 as a measured signal. In the control circuit 2, the measured signal 100 is stored once in a storage circuit or the like inside the control circuit 2. The control circuit 2 designates a channel which is used to compute a printing region, and is judges whether the designated channel can be printed or not. When it can be printed, a recent printing region is found from a recording width and a shift width on the basis of a previously computed printing region. The control circuit 2 outputs printing data, a printing start signal or the like as a control signal 101, and a printing circuit 3 prints a measured waveform on a sheet of recording paper on the basis of the control signal 101. In this manner, it is possible to obtain a recorder in which the recording width or the like is not required to be set for every channel and in which a a cascade display can be set easily.
