PURPOSE: To make it possible to securely detect an initial position of a film and to securely control the feeding of the film, by providing the film with a part to be detected at a film part not provided with holes or recessed parts, and providing a means for detecting the part to be detected.
CONSTITUTION: In a region other than a micro-perforated region 140 of a film 2, a body 165 to be detected such as a thin film having a magnetic flux density higher than that of the film 2 is adhered. THe body 165 to be detected is, for example, a thin film of a magnetic material such as a manganese-zinc ferrite having a diameter of 2W6mm and a thickness of about 10W100μm. The position at which the body 165 to be detected is provided is so set as to correspond to the condition where the film is wound around a right reel in 6 plies and is wound around a left reel in 0 plies. By detecting the body 165 by a magnetic detecting element 166 such as a GaAs Hall element disposed at an appropriate part of a main body of a recorder, the initial position of the film 2 can be detected.
