To solve the problem that when a recording agent storage container is detached from an image forming apparatus body, a recording agent is prone to leak from a recording agent receiving member.
The recording agent storage container includes: an ink bag 2 storing ink; a supply mouth 3; a deformable supply passage part 4; and an opening/closing means 5 having a pair of opposite magnets 13 with the supply passage part 4 therebetween. The opening/closing means 5 is opened or closed by the magnetic force of a magnet 111 on the image forming apparatus body side. When the recording agent storage container is detached from the image forming apparatus body, the supply passage part 4 is closed while the hollow-needle hole 101a of a hollow nozzle member 101 is present in the supply mouth 3. The supply mouth 3 is connected to a protective member 102 by means of a magnetic force, the protective member 102 being used for protecting the periphery of the hollow-needle hole 101a of the hollow nozzle member 101 on the image forming apparatus body side. When the recording agent storage container is detached from the image forming apparatus body, the hollow-needle hole 101a of the hollow nozzle member 101 is detached from a supply mouth 3, and its connection state is maintained until the hollow-needle hole 101a is accommodated in the protective member 102.
