To stably convey even at timing when a recording medium rear end leaves a conveying roller.
Initial phases of the conveying roller and a paper discharge roller are adjusted so that a roller speed ratio at the time of switching may be achieved with a predetermined phase for a conveyance region where the kind of the roller related to conveyance of the recording medium is switched.
