PURPOSE: To speed up highly detailed, high-quality printing and enable printing out irrespective of kinds of recording papers, by providing a recording apparatus with a second fixing means for transferring a temporary recording image to a recording paper from an intermediate transfer body together with a reception layer, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A laser light, 11 is cast, from a recording means 10 in the direction shown by an arrow at a position corresponding to a required output, image pixel on a recording medium 4 sent by a recording medium feed roller 9a. A part of a thin film functional layer 3 on the recording medium 4 where the laser light 11 is cast is melted, whereby a through hole is formed at the position corresponding to the required image pixel. In taxis case, an oscillation wavelength of the laser light 11 is matched with an absorbance of the thin film functional layer 3 to improve the light-heat, conversion efficiency of the laser light 11. The recording means 10 may be constituted of a laser-scanning mechanism comprising a laser oscillation device such as a semiconductor laser or the like casting the laser light 11, an intensity distribution means, an optical lens, a polygon mirror, etc.
