Title:
RECORDING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS62236781
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a smoke emitting phenomenon by prohibiting the continuous supply of a current to a heater, by prohibiting the reception of a reset signal from a controller only when the jamming of paper is generated in a recording apparatus.

CONSTITUTION: When jamming is generated in a recording apparatus 21, a jamming signal 302 showing a jamming state is supplied to the L-active input terminal of an AND gate 31 from CPU23 and the AND output 303 from the AND gate 31 comes to 'L' and no resetting is performed. Further, the AND output 303 comes to 'H' as far as no jamming is generated and resetting is performed. When a reset signal is inputted to the AND gate 31 inclusive of a reset signal of soft meaning such that a CPRDY signal 201 changes from an 'H'-level showing the controllability of a controller 22 to an 'L'-level showing the non-controllability thereof, it is judged whether jamming is generated in the recording apparatus and, only when it is judged that no jamming is generated, the program counter PC of CPU23 is set to (00) as well as the content of RAM is cleared. Therefore, at the time of jamming, the recording apparatus is held to a non-reset state even if the reset signal is inputted.
