Abstract:
To provide a technique advantageous for increasing the speed and the accuracy of scanning of a recording head.SOLUTION: A recording device includes a carriage mounted with recording means for performing recording on a recording medium, a belt for reciprocating the carriage in a width direction of the recording medium, a first motor for driving the belt on one side in the width direction, a second motor for driving the belt on the other side in the width direction, and a control part for controlling the first motor and the second motor, and moving the carriage, wherein a moving distance of the carriage when the second motor is driven while suppressing driving of the first motor is regarded as a first distance, and the control part executes processing based on the first distance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
