PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress oblique transportation of a medium.SOLUTION: A recording device comprises: a transportation section 9 capable of transporting a medium P; a detection section 8 capable of detecting a transportation direction A of the medium P by the transportation section 9; a recording section 12 capable of performing recording onto the medium P transported by the transportation section 9; a plurality of rotating bodies 6 being provided in an intersection direction B intersecting with the transportation direction A, capable of being brought into contact with a surface 17 of an opposite side to a recording surface 16 performed with the recording by the recording section 12 in the medium P and having rotation axes of the intersection direction B; and a control section 23 individually controlling rotation numbers of the plurality of rotating bodies 6 on the basis of detection results of the detection section 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
