Abstract:
To perform appropriate data writing when a moving image file is divided and recorded.SOLUTION: The recording device includes: acquiring means for acquiring moving image data; and recording control means for controlling to record on a recording medium a file including the acquired moving image data and first information related to the moving image data, and for controlling to update the first information related to the moving image data of the file upon completion of recording the data contained in the file. The recording control means generates divided files when a file size becomes a predetermined size, controls to record video data that is continuous with video data included in the file in the divided files, and controls so as not to update the first information of the file upon completion of recording of data included in the file when generating divided files.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
