Abstract:
A recording device (100) records an encoded stream in a recording medium (131). The recording device includes: an obtainer (110) that obtains the encoded stream; a decoder (150) that decodes the encoded stream obtained; and a controller (120) that selectively performs, in accordance with a predetermined setting, first control to record the encoded stream in the recording medium (131), when the encoded stream obtained is undecodable by the decoder (150), or second control not to record the encoded stream, when the encoded stream obtained is undecodable by the decoder (150).
