To provide a recording device which can suppress the end part in a width direction of a medium being unnecessarily bent due to the contact with an adjusting member when the adjusting member is moved to adjust the position in the width direction of the medium which is placed on a placing surface in a medium placing part.
A recording part 13 includes: a manual feed tray 50 having the placing surface 50a for placing sheet P fed along a feeding path for manual feeding; an edge guide 51B which can retreat in the width direction to adjust the position of the sheet P in the width direction on the manual feed tray 50; and a recording head 26 for performing record on the sheet P that is fed. The edge guide 51B has a guide part which can contact with the end part of the sheet P in the width direction. A second guide surface 65 is formed as it is gradually closer to the placing surface 50a from inwardly toward outwardly in the width direction inside the inner surface of the guide part in the width direction.
