Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce or avoid the possibility that side edges of a recording medium are tucked among edge guides and a supporting surface of a medium support section when the edge guides are moved according to a width of the recording medium.SOLUTION: A recording device comprises: a medium support member 23 supporting a recording medium P; and a pair of edge guides 50a and 50b being brought into contact with both side edges Ea and Eb in a direction intersecting with a medium transportation direction of the recording medium P supported by the medium support member 23 and having regulation sections 52a and 52b regulating positions of the side edges Ea and Eb. At least one 50a of the pair of edge guides 50a and 50b comprises a slide section 54 slidable on a medium supporting surface 23a of the medium support member 23 inside the regulation section 52a, is constituted so as to be displaceable in the direction intersecting with the medium transportation direction, and comprises a medium scoop-up section 60 scooping up the side edges of the recording medium P supported by the medium support member 23 on the slide section 54 when the slide section 54 is displaced in a direction in which the slide section 54 approaches the other edge guide 50b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
