Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a reduction of a recording device in size in the recording device comprising a carriage.SOLUTION: A recording device comprises: a carriage being movable in a direction intersecting with a medium transportation direction while comprising a recording head performing recording on a medium; a guide shaft penetrating a bearing section provided in the carriage, guiding the carriage in a movement direction of the carriage, and extending in the movement direction; an attitude regulation member stopping rotation of the carriage with the guide shaft as a center at an upper side position in a vertical direction with respect to the guide shaft, and regulating an attitude of the carriage; a medium guide member being disposed at a position where the medium guide member can face the recording head, and guiding the medium; gap switching means switching a gap between the recording head and the medium guide member; and pressing means engaging with the carriage and pressing the carriage in a downward direction in a state of the gap being a gap greater than at least a minimum gap.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
