Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an unintended change in gap in a recording device comprising gap adjustment means for adjusting a gap by slide operation of a cam.SOLUTION: A recording device comprises: a carriage comprising a recording head and being movable in a scanning direction of the recording head; a guide member guiding the carriage; gap adjustment means displacing a housing in a direction in which a gap changes; and a switching member engaging with the gap adjustment means and causing the gap adjustment means to execute gap switching. The gap adjustment means comprises: a slide member; a cam member displacing the housing in the direction in which the gap changes by sliding with respect to the housing and the slide member; and a regulation member being capable of switching between a regulation state for regulating relative displacement of the cam member with respect to the housing and the slide member and a permissive state for permitting the relative displacement of the cam member with respect to the housing and the slide member, and being held in the regulation state at least in a state of not engaging with the switching member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
