Abstract:
To provide a recording device capable of normally supplying sheets when an image is recorded on the rear surface of a sheet having an image recorded on the front surface.SOLUTION: A recording device comprises: a holding part for holding a sheet wound in a roll shape; driving means for rotating the sheet held by the holding part in a normal direction and a reverse direction; a sensor for acquiring an output value based on a distance to the sheet; and a recording head for recording an image on the sheet supplied from the holding part. An image is recorded by the recording head on a second surface that is the rear side of the sheet having an image recorded on a first surface. The recording device acquires an output value with the sensor while rotating the sheet having an image recorded on the first surface in the reverse direction with the driving means, calculates a first feature point in a range where the output value gets smaller than a first threshold value after exceeding the first threshold value and a second feature before the first feature point, and supplies the sheet based on the calculation result.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
