PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of an error of exhausted paper sheet and to prevent the increase of a printing processing time owing to unnecessary suspension and completion of processing by providing a counting means to count the number of contained printing paper sheets during printing processing and arranging a display means to visually display the counted result of the counting means to the outside.

CONSTITUTION: In a counter 5 for a number of paper sheets for printing, when printing paper sheets are set at a placing table 12 and pushed in, a printing paper sheet 14 is pushed up through the force of a spring 11. In this case, the printing paper sheets 14 are moved one by one from the under side of a counting rod to the upper side thereof as the printing paper sheet is hooked at a counting rod 13 and a counter 15 counts the number of printing paper sheets. The counted data is transferred to a control part 6. The control part 6 writes the transferred counted data at an RAM 8. By controlling a display counter 9 by the control part 6 according to number of printing paper sheets-counted data transferred thereto, the number of printing paper sheets is displayed on a digital display part. Further, printing data is transferred to a recording part 10 by the control part 6 so as to effect printing on the printing paper sheet.
