To provide a high resolution recording head in which a plurality of recording element substrates are arranged in a zigzag form, wherein an image with high definition can be formed irrespective of a position for mounting each of the recording element substrates, and the like.
The recording head is provided comprising two or more recording element substrates H1100a, H1100b each including a nozzle array composed of a plurality of nozzles, wherein these substrates are arranged in a zigzag form so that one of the nozzle arrays and the other nozzle array are overlapped with each other, and the recording element substrate H1100b includes correction nozzles 5a, 5b and a pitch between the nozzles 5a, 5b is 3/4 times than that between the nozzles in the other recording element substrate H1100a.
