Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prepare a recording ink for ink jet recording use, having excellent storage stability, jetting stability, jetting responce, long-time continuous recording properties, etc. by adding γ-pelargolactone to a recording ink.

CONSTITUTION: A recording ink for ink jet recording (recording with droplets of ink jetted through the nozzle of a recording head), composed of a solvent, γ-pelargolactone, and dye or pigment. The amount of the γ-pelargolactone is 30W90% when the solvent is an alcohol, 10W85% when it is an aliphatic or an aromatic hydrocarbon, 50W90% when it is a ketone, 10W85% for an ester, and 20W90% for an amide solvent.
