To provide a recording liquid that exhibits a good jetting property from an inkjet head and excellent strike-through resistance and letter qualities when printed on a plain paper, an inkjet printer using the same, and an inkjet recording method.

The recording liquid comprises at least water, a water-soluble organic solvent, a colorant, and 0.1-10 mass% of a rosary-like inorganic fine particle satisfying all of the requirements (1)-(3) below. Requirement (1): The value of (secondary average particle size)/(primary average particle size) is at least 3.0 and less than 30. Requirement (2): The primary average particle size is at least 10 nm and less than 80 nm. Requirement (3): The secondary average particle size is at least 40 nm and less than 300 nm.
