Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a recording liquid, comprising a water-soluble dye having a specific structure, capable of providing quick-drying properties while maintaining a high grade of images, excellent in preservation stability and useful as the recording liquid for writing utensils and ink jet printers.
CONSTITUTION: The objective recording liquid comprises 0.1-10wt.% (preferably 1-5wt.%) dye of formula I (R1 is 1-10C substituent group containing one or more of OH, NH2, C6H5, etc.; R2 to R6 are H or same as R1; M is H, Li, ammoniums, amines, etc.) and 0.05-8wt.% (preferably 2-6wt.%) ethanol, 1- propanol, etc. Furthermore, e.g. a compound of formula II is cited as the compound of formula I.
