Abstract:

To provide a recording material for inkjet, which eliminates a problem of a surface blemish such as a crack, and has a high gloss and high ink absorption.

In this recording material for inkjet, a laminated ink receiving layer is provided in such a manner that at least two ink receiving layer coating liquids containing inorganic fine particles and a hydrophilic binder are applied onto a support and dried. The recording material for the inkjet is characterized as follows: the mass concentration of a low-boiling organic solvent with a boiling point of 100°C or less, which is contained in the ink receiving layer coating liquid near the support, is higher than that of the low-boiling organic solvent which is contained in the ink receiving layer coating liquid far from the support; and the Brookfield type viscosity, at 40°C, of the ink receiving layer coating liquid near the support is higher than that of the ink receiving layer coating liquid far from the support.
