A recording material post-processing device 1 includes: a fold forming device 8 forming a fold line in a recording material S; an end stitching device 4 for stitching the end of the recording material S; a conveying means conveying the recording material S having passed through the fold forming device 8 or the end stitching device 4; a saddle stitching device 5 arranged so as to be moved up and down relative to the recording material post-processing device 1; and a stitching/storing receiver 6 arranged so as to be moved up and down relative to the recording material post-processing device 1 and storing the bundle of the recording material S which is end-stitched by the end stitching device 4. In saddle stitching, the saddle stitching device 5 is lowered to a saddle-stitching position with respect to the conveying means so that a conveying path for the recording material S from the fold forming device 8 to the saddle stitching device 5 can be formed. In end stitching, the saddle stitching device 5 is retreated and moved upward with respect to the conveying means so that the conveying path for the recording material S from the end stitching device 4 to the stitching/storing receiver 6 can be formed.
