A recording material processing apparatus includes: an image forming device 11 with an in-body space part formed between an apparatus casing 13 and an image reading part 14; and a recording material post-processing device 1 having a lateral direction casing housed in the in-body space part and provided with a folding line device 8 for impressing a folding line on a recording material S conveyed from the image forming device 11 and a longitudinal direction casing longitudinally extended with respect to the lateral direction casing and provided with a saddle stitching device 5 for stitching a center part of a bundle of recording materials S. Further, the recording material post-processing device 1 is detachably assembled to the in-body space part of the image forming device 11.
