Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording material, which is improved in waterfastness during or after printing, particularly a recording material, which is free from ink blurring upon printing by an ink jet recording method and is free from water-derived flow or blurring of ink after the printing, and to provide a waterproofing agent for ink jet recording.
SOLUTION: This recording material contains a cationic polymer represented by general formula [1] or general formula [2], wherein R1 and R2 represent an alkyl or hydroxyalkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms or an allyl group, A- and B- represent an anion, p and s are each 1 to 6, q, r, u, v are each 1 to 4, x and y are each 0 to 6, and m and n are each 10 to 500.
