Title:
RECORDING MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0257380
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve durability by bringing specific alkylene or arylene bis- compound into contact with electron accepting compound, thereby introducing functional group which is not conventionally discussed at all.

CONSTITUTION: In a recording material in which coloring reaction due to contact of electron donating colorless dye with electron accepting compound is utilized, alkylene or arylene bis-compound of fluorane derivative having anilino group at its second position is employed as colorless dye. The electron accepting compound for coloring in contact with the colorless dye includes, for example, normal compound such as phenol derivatives, salicylic acid derivatives, metal salt of aromatic carboxylic acid novolac, acid clay, etc. The ratio of the used electron donating colorless dye to the electron accepting compound is by weight 1:20 to 1:1, and more desirably 1:10 to 2:3. The obtained recording material has no fog during preservation, and excellent aging stability. The obtained colored image is of fresh dark black, and exhibits satisfactory durability against chemical, sunshine.
