Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance absorptivity to a water base ink and clearness of recorded images, by constituting a recording material of an ink-holding layer comprising a hydrophilic resin absorbent of water base inks, an ink-permeable layer comprising a water-resistant polyurethane, and a powder layer.

CONSTITUTION: The ink-holding layer comprising a hydrophilic resin absorbent of water base inks is provided on the surface of a support base, and the ink-permeable layer comprising a substantially water-resistant polyurethane and the powder layer are laminated on the ink-holding layer to produce the recording material. The hydrophilic resin may be a hydrophilic natural resin such as albumin and gelatine, a hydrophilic synthetic resin such as polyamide and polyacrylamide or the like, and the thickness of the ink-holding layer is prefereably 5W30μm. The thickness of the in-permeale layer is preferably 0.1W5μm. A powder for forming the powder layer is preferably an inorganic or organic powder with a particle diameter of not larger than 20μm.
