Abstract:
To provide a recording medium which satisfies both a high surface glossiness equal to that of a film photo and surface marring properties in formation of an image according to an inkjet recording method, and a manufacturing method thereof.
The recording medium comprises a base and an ink accepting layer provided on the base and being a porous layer. The medium has a large roughness having an amplitude of 0.1-2 μm and a period from peak to peak of 100-1,000 μm and has on the large roughness a small roughness having an amplitude of 0.01-0.1 μm and a period from peak to peak of 0.1-1 μm, and the glossiness of the surface of the ink accepting layer is 20% or more by 20° measurement.
