PURPOSE: To enable automatic cut-off of the recording paper depending on the size of transmission original, by sequentially storing the cut-off position of the beginning and end of each recording picture reproduced in sequential reception.

CONSTITUTION: The first and second pointer circuits 22, 23 storing the amount of shift of the cut-off position corresponding to each beginning and end of the recording picture to a plurality of originals until the recording paper reaches the cut-off mechanism, are provided, and each cut-off position is circulatingly stored at the start and end of the reception operation sequential read-out is made on the shift operation of recording paper, the cut-off mechanism is driven with the output, and the recording paper is automatically cut according to the size of transmission original.
