Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent contamination or sag of paper when a roll of recording paper is set.
SOLUTION: A recording paper holder 20 is detachably loaded to a recording paper housing chamber 17 of a printer. A cover for covering a part of the recording paper housing chamber 17 is provided to the recording paper holder 20. A pressing mechanism 40 for pressing the external periphery of the roll of paper to a paper feed roller 36 is built therein. The pressing mechanism 40 consists of a first pressing plate 42 and a second pressing plate 45. The first pressing plate 42 presses the roll of recording paper to the paper feed roller 36 by an urging force of a torsion spring 43. When the cover 14 of the recording paper housing chamber 17 is closed, a pressing section 46 provided to the cover 14 presses the second pressing plate 45. The second pressing plate 45 compresses a compression spring 44 between it and the first pressing plate 42, and then the reaction force is applied to the first pressing plate 42.
