Abstract:

To provide a recording and reproducing device with an operation picture display function capable of providing convenient operations to a user by reproducing and displaying a selected/set state of an original operation picture in the case or the like that the displayed operation picture is temporarily switched to another one and then returned to the original one or a power source is switched off when the operation picture is displayed and then switched on again.

The recording and reproducing device with an operation picture display function for performing operation on an operation picture selectively displayed from two or more kinds of operation pictures is provided with a control means 16 for displaying the requested operation picture based on the state stored in a storage medium, in the state in which each state of the two or more kinds of operation pictures is stored in the respective storage media, and a prescribed operation picture is requested to be displayed.
