PURPOSE: To realize a recording signal editing device for displaying the recording start and end positions of sound information to be edited and a position recording sound information more than a certain level between the start and end positions on a screen.

CONSTITUTION: This recording signal editing device edits sound information recorded in a hard disk. A comparing means 7 compares the level of a signal inputted from an input means 3 and a level stored in a level setting means 6. A display control means 9 displays the compared result on a display means 10 together with time information obtained by a timer means 8.
