PURPOSE: To recover the energy of the rolling of a hull of a ship by relatively rolling an accommodation structure which is supported to the hull by the rolling of the hull and operating energy recovering means by the rolling of the structure, thereby attenuating the rolling of the hull.

CONSTITUTION: A curved surface 2 is formed on a deck of a hull 1, and the bottom sector surface of a residence zone structure 3 is rockably supported through a connecting rollers 20 to the surface 2. Oil pumps 4, 5 are respectively provided at left and right sides of the structure 3, and piped to energy recovering means which has an oil tank 6 installed in the hull 1, a hydraulic tank 7, a hydraulic motor 8 and a generator 9. When the hull 1 rolls, the pumps 4, 5 are rotatably driven with the rolling axis as a center. Thus, low pressure oil 12 from the tank 6 is compressed, high pressure oil 13 is exhausted to the tank 7, thereby driving the motor 8 to allow the generator 9 to generate electric power.
