Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a recovering method for noble metal ions from a pickling waste water to enable industrially adding the noble metal ions to a pickling liquid to improve pickling ability.
CONSTITUTION: The noble metal ions are recovered by allowing the pickling waste water containing the noble metal ions as it is or after previously recovering the acid to contact with active carbon to adsorb the metal ions into the active carbon. Though base metals such as Fe, Cr eluted by pickling are dissolved in the waste water in high cone., only the noble metal ions are selectively recovered by the active carbon due to the difference of oxidation- reduction potential at high yield. As a result, the noble metal ions are industrially added into the pickling liquid and the pickling ability is extremely improved.
