Abstract:
To recover Ni or/and Co contained in battery slag by efficiently leaching it into sulfuric acid.SOLUTION: A recovery method includes a heating step S3 for heating battery slag M1 having a cathode active material containing Ni or/and Co and an anode active material containing graphite to oxidize the graphite contained in the anode active material in the battery slag M1 and thus to generate carbon dioxide G, an acid leaching step S4 for adding sulfuric acid to residual powder M2 remaining after generating carbon dioxide G from the battery slag M1 to leach Ni or/and Co contained in the cathode active material in the residual powder M2 into the sulfuric acid and thus to produce a leachate E1, and recovery steps S5-S15 for recovering the Ni or/and Co contained in the leachate E1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
