To provide a method for recovering copper from a slag containing a waste brick at a high recovery ratio by crushing/mixing it with the slag from a copper refining step without wasting the waste brick containing copper from the inside of a refining furnace such as a converter and a flash-smelting furnace.
When the waste brick in the refining furnace, i.e., a copper refining facility is crushed/mixed to the slag, i.e., an intermediate product of the copper refining step and copper is recovered by performing a floatation treatment, pH of a slurry of the slag and the waste brick fed to the floatation treatment is controlled to 8.5 to 12.0, and a ratio of the waste brick relative to a total of the slag and the waste brick in the slurry is made to 5 wt.% or less.
