Abstract:

To efficiently recover Zn from mine water contg. Zn of low concn. and making it into a product.

This is a method for recovering zinc sulfate from mine water in which alkali is added to a soln. contg. Zn, Fe and Mn, Fe is precipitated, thereafter, Zn is extracted with a solvent from the supernatant, next, Zn is back extracted from the separatively recovered solvent, and the obtd. noble soln. is subjected to treatment of deoxidation neutralization, soln. cleaning, heating concentration and crystallization to obtain Zn, and as to the soln. cleaning treatment, potassium permanganate is added to the back extracting soln., and the oxidation-reduction potential is held to 720 to 980 mV (vsAg-AgCl electrode).
