Abstract:
PURPOSE: To set an energy density per unit volume large, and simplify manufacturing processes by forming a positive electrode comprising positive electrode active material or a negative electrode comprising negative electrode active material on an insulation substrate in plural zones separated from each other.
CONSTITUTION: A rectangular battery comprises negative electrode active material, a separator, positive electrode active material, and a collector. A positive electrode 101 comprising the positive electrode active material or a negative electrode 103 comprising negative electrode active material are formed on an insulation substrate 100 in plural zones separated from each other. Otherwise, the positive electrode active material and the negative electrode active material are formed on the substrate 100 in plural zones to be separated form each other, and it is bent in zoned having no positive electrode active material or negative electrode active material.
