Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a waveguide that is short in length, has a stepwise change part, is reduced in reflection over a broad frequency band and is manufactured from the only member by using NC technology. CONSTITUTION: Two shift planes (shift plane 7 and other shift plane in pair with the shift plane 7) causing an H-shift and two other shift planes causing an E-shift are provided in a transverse direction of an electromagnetic wave propagation direction 4. The two former shift planes are deviated and exist in parallel with each other at a same interval with respect to a symmetrical plane. The two latter shift planes exist on the symmetrical plane or exist in parallel with each other at the same interval with respect to the symmetrical planes. The interval between the shift planes and the symmetrical plans is adjusted, so that a capacitive component formed by the E shift compensates induced residual reflection over a wide frequency band width.
