Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the vehicle alternator, which can extend the life of a negative-pole-side diode, by absorbing or reducing the assembling step difference between the protruding boss part of a rear frame and the direct fixing part of the negative-pole-side cooling fin of a rectifier, and alleviating the adverse effect caused by the assembling distortion of the negative-pole-side cooling fin on the negative-pole-side diode.
SOLUTION: A hole part 72 is provided between a common tightening and fixing part 70 and direct fixing part 71 of a negative-pole-side cooling fin 54. A low-rigidity part 73, whose rigidity is lower than the other part, is provided in the vicinity of the hole part 72. Then, the common tightening and fixing part 70 of the negative-pole-side cooling fin 54 is tightened and fixed together with the other rectifier constituting member of a common tightening and supporting part 30 of a rear frame 22 and a rear cover 29. Thereafter, the axial thrust when the direct fixing part 71 is tightened and fixed to the contact surface of a protruding boss part 31 of the rear frame 22 by using a fixing bolt 69 is utilized, and the assembling step difference of the rear frame 22 and the negative-pole-side cooling fin 54 is offset.
