Title:
RECTILINEAR STABILIZER FOR HIGH-SPEED TYPE HULL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61278486
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a ship from rocking in all directions as well as to improve its rectilinear stability, by forming a concave bottom surface toward a ship's side from a center keel, while installing a stabilizing blade, making an angle of elevation variable at will, in a bottom stern part. CONSTITUTION:Concave bottom surfaces 8L and 8R are formed toward both ship's sides 4L and 4R from a center keel 6, while in the bottom stern part, there are provided with stabilizing blades 12L and 12R which makes an angle of elevation variable at will by means of an actuating device 18 on the basis of a signal out of a hull attitude detecting device 20. With this constitution, rolling, pitching and swaying at sailing are prevented from occurring so that rectilinear stability is improvable. In this connection, these stabilizing blades are possible to be installed in not only the bottom stern part but also in a lower part of the ship's side as 30L and 30R included.
