PURPOSE: To provide a recyclable support material and a recycling method.
CONSTITUTION: The support material is composed of a cellulose-containing carrier and at least one polymeric water-resistant layer. The water-resistant layer is composed of at least one radiation curable bonding agent and a solid material which can be anchored to a limited extent in the layer. The recycling method comprises the impacting and crushing of the layer material in a pulper, the defibration and grinding of the crushed material in a refiner and the admixing of the processed material with a virgin paper stock. The support material can be returned to the flow of manufacturing process by conventional combination and process in papermaking industry without spending additional cost.
